Main Characters
- Connor M. Lassiter ("Akron AWOL")- Connor is sixteen years old and is always getting in fights and thrown out of school because of it. Thats why his parents signed the Unwind Order.
- Risa M. Ward- Risa is fifteen years old and lives at the StaHo (State Home). Her mother "Storked" her when she was little and lived at the state home. Risa loves playing the piano, but every year the StaHo has to get rid of 3 Wards, and unfortunately, she's been chosen
- Levi "Lev" J. Calder- Levi is thirteen years old and a "Tithe". Levi is the youngest of ten children. Levi, as a tithe, is always dressed in white. A "tithe" is child chosen to be unwound by religious sacrifice. He had a family that gave him everything, until the day he was sent to be unwound.

Smart- " 'Start clapping!'
